Capital Area Agency on Aging Welcomes New Executive Director
Baton Rouge, LA —Capital Area Agency on Aging (CAAA) is pleased to welcome Craig A. Kaberline as its new executive director, effective May 4.
Mr. Kaberline succeeds Shirley Merrick, who recently accepted a position as executive director for the Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs, after 45 years of service with CAAA.
Mr. Kaberline, a native of Topeka, KS and resident of Geismar, LA, graduated from the University of Kansas. He worked in the field of aging for 15 years, starting as an executive director of the Kansas Area Agencies on Aging Association and then as Commissioner on Aging for the State of Kansas.
Mr. Kaberline will oversee the day-to-day operations of CAAA as well as lead the organization into the next phase of strategic growth.
