Capital Area Agency on Aging Welcomes New Executive Director
Mr. Kaberline succeeds Shirley Merrick, who recently accepted a position as executive director for the Governor’s Office of Elderly Affairs, after 45 years of service with CAAA.
Mr. Kaberline, a native of Topeka, KS and resident of Geismar, LA, graduated from the University of Kansas. He worked in the field of aging for 15 years, starting as an executive director of the Kansas Area Agencies on Aging Association and then as Commissioner on Aging for the State of Kansas.
Mr. Kaberline will oversee the day-to-day operations of CAAA as well as lead the organization into the next phase of strategic growth.
“The Board of Directors is excited to welcome Mr. Kaberline, who will be able to smoothly transition into this role with his wealth of experience and engagement with many of the programs benefitting the seniors in our region,” said Ann Zanders, CAAA Board President.
