The Aging and Disability Resource Center offers a “one-stop-shop” for public and private programs at the community level that will help individuals make informed decisions about their service and support options.
Utility Assistance
Provides short-term assistance to low-income elderly who meet eligibility and have Entergy Utilities.
Telephoning
Telephone calls to check on older persons.
Caregiver Support
Supportive services (respite care, sitter services) for family caregivers of older persons..
Transportation
Provides transportation to places such as senior centers, medical appointments and social service agencies.
Congregate Meals
Nutritionally balanced meals served in community settings.
Home Delivered Meals
Nutritionally balanced meals delivered to homebound frail or disabled elderly.
Long Term Care Ombudsmen Services
Long Term Care Ombudsmen investigate and resolve complaints made by or on behalf of residents of long-term care facilities. Long-term care facilities include nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and personal care homes. Ombudsmen also assist consumers and potential consumers with the process of choosing a facility.
Prescription Drug Assistance (SenioRx)
The SenioRx Program connects qualified, low-income people with discount prescription drugs, direct from the pharmaceutical manufacturer.
Legal Assistance
Legal advice, counseling, and representation provided by professional legal service corporations.
Wellness
Services to maintain and/or improve mental and physical well being (exercise, health screenings, medication management education, nutrition education, socialization and recreation).
